Snohomish County committee moves four community navigator contracts to March consent agenda

The Snohomish County Council Health and Community Services Committee on Tuesday, March 11 moved four motions to the March consent agenda authorizing the county executive to sign agreements for the Community Navigator Program, committee Chair Mead said.
The contracts are funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Immunization COVID‑19 Community Navigator Program grant and, under the terms described to the committee, will employ community navigators to disseminate public health information in culturally relevant formats to marginalized communities and communities with the lowest COVID‑19 vaccination rates in Snohomish County, Cynthia, a health department staff member, said.
