Committee advances amendment to Kayenta financial system contract to April 9 consent calendar

The Snohomish County Council Public Infrastructure and Conservation Committee on April 1 advanced a proposed Amendment 4 to the county’s Kayenta integrated financial management system contract to the council’s April 9 consent calendar.
Council staff told the committee the Kayenta system is the backbone of the county’s enterprise financial systems and provides critical operations and fiscal accountability. Staff said the contract has been amended previously to allow upgrades and continued software support. The proposed Amendment 4 would authorize the county executive to execute changes that include access to the CHI Engage program, access to the Kayenta University portal and complimentary registration for the annual Kayenta training conference.
A staff representative noted an error on the previously posted agenda and clarified that the requested action was for the committee to move the motion to the April 9 general legislative session (GLS) consent calendar for council consideration. Committee Chair Lowe called for questions; none were raised and the committee advanced the item to consent.
No public comment addressed this item during the meeting. The amendment will be considered on the Snohomish County Council consent calendar on April 9.
