Jim Martin, council staff, summarized updates from several departments: Public Health provided information related to public service announcements; Human Resources shared a SharePoint link for family wellness resources; Economic Development submitted a memo on homeownership assistance; Finance is developing a project labor agreement template; and Human Services provided memos concerning the CERCURE withdrawal management and stabilization condition and a request for an extension tied to the Linwood scribe care facility condition.
Council member Nehring asked whether Public Health’s planned PSAs would be added to the next update; Martin confirmed they would. A committee member asked for an update on the Linwood item and whether the extension related to seeking reimbursement from the legislature via the Affordable Housing and Behavioral Health Tax Fund; Martin said he could obtain that information. Martin said Human Services had requested an extension to July 1 for the Linwood condition. He noted that funds set aside for that condition cannot be released until the conditions are completed.
Martin characterized the Human Services request as not requiring formal committee action, asking instead for a “head nod” from council that an extension was acceptable; the committee did not take a formal vote, and no formal release of funds occurred at the hearing.
The committee asked staff to follow up with the responsible departments for any additional documentation or status updates to be included in future budget‑notes reports.
