County to update contract addenda as interfund rates rise for law enforcement services

Snohomish County staff told the Community Safety and Justice Committee on May 13 that amendments to contracts for law enforcement services would increase the amounts jurisdictions pay to the county to reflect higher interfund rates adopted in the 2025-2026 budget. Nicole Gourley presented motions for the county's contracts with the City of Granite Falls and Community Transit and asked the committee to move the items to GLS for consideration the next day.
Motions 25-227 and 25-232 would replace Addendum No. 1 in each jurisdictional contract, which specifies the annual cost for services. Gourley said the new addenda increase what jurisdictions pay to the county for services by applying the increased interfund rates for ER&R, IT, and risk, which were adopted in the 2025-2026 budget.
The committee had no substantive questions and moved the items to the GLS consent agenda for May 14 without objection. The amendments themselves would not take effect until approved through the council process.
