Board nominates local member for Virginia School Boards Association regional chair; nomination to VSBA for selection

Graves explained the local nomination will go to a VSBA regional forum, where the association will select the regional chair and vice chair. The nomination covers the local board’s endorsement to proceed to the regional selection process rather than an immediate VSBA appointment.
The board took a vote on the nomination during the May 1 meeting and the clerk recorded affirmative votes following the motion; the item will proceed to the VSBA regional process for final selection.
