Denison Historic Preservation Board selects chair and vice chair

The Denison Historic Preservation Board took nominations for leadership at its midday meeting and moved forward with selections. Linda Anderson was nominated for chair, and a motion to appoint the board’s vice chair was approved by voice/hand vote.

Board members began agenda item 1A with nominations for chair and vice chair. Linda Anderson was nominated for the office of chair; the transcript records the nomination but does not include a separate roll-call motion or a recorded roll-call vote for Anderson’s appointment. For vice chair, a board member recommended Kirk Jachowski and the meeting recorded an approval by asking members to raise hands; one participant stated they were voting “present.” The transcript also includes the line “All in favor of Bert Chukowski as vice chair of the board.
