Commission approves replat in ETJ to create two lots with Star Water service and on-site septic

The Denison Planning and Zoning Commission on March 25 approved a replat in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) along Karen Drive that adjusts lot lines to create two legal lots of record. Planning staff presented the request and recommended approval.
Planning staff member Miss Jordan said both lots will front on Karen Drive, will receive water from Star Water Supply Company and will rely on on-site septic systems for sewer service; the applicant had initiated contact with Grayson County to secure septic permits. “Both lots will be provided water service by Star Water Supply Company, and they will utilize on-site septic systems for their sewer services, which they have already been in contact with Grayson County to get those permits pulled,” Miss Jordan told the commission.
No speakers addressed the commission on the item. The commission voted to approve the replat on a voice vote with all in favor. Staff recommended approval and the item will proceed under the city’s ETJ subdivision procedures.
