Council tables Certificates of Obligation Series 2025B and 2025C until April meeting

City finance staff asked Denison City Council to table two certificates of obligation — Series 2025B and Series 2025C — until the council’s April meeting because the issuances remain under review by the Texas Attorney General’s office.
Miss Alsaba told the council the bond counsel has been in contact with the Attorney General's office and is confident the certificates can be approved at the next meeting. The certificates would be financed through the Texas Water Development Board.
Council voted to table both items until the April meeting; the motion carried during the same meeting. No final financing or amounts were adopted at Monday’s meeting and the council did not take further action on the COs.
The items remain pending and will return to the council for formal action once Attorney General review is complete and counsel advises the city.
