The Dalhart City Council voted May 12 to award a $23,350 contract to G & G Operators Ltd. to complete an ERC seal-coat project, using savings from another road project to fund the work.
City staff said the Silco project across the city came in under budget and savings were set aside to finish the ERC work; staff recommended awarding the work to G & G Operators and noted the funds are already budgeted, although a formal budget amendment may be required later to document the reallocation.
A motion to accept the bid from G & G Operators Ltd. for $23,350 carried on a voice vote. Staff said the procurement uses existing city funds earmarked from the completed Silco project and that no additional general-fund appropriation is needed at this time.
The council did not record a roll-call tally; staff said paperwork and a budget amendment would follow as required to close out the project.
