The Broussard City Council on Feb. 25 adopted Ordinance number 25-820 to change zoning for parcels at 101, 104, 105 and 106 Gypsy Road from light industrial to community commercial.
A staff presenter explained the parcels are currently used as residences and the owners requested the rezoning to community commercial as a better fit for current uses. There was no public comment. The council called the question and members representing Districts 2, 3, 5 and 6 voted yes; the motion was approved.
The ordinance had been presented at the prior council meeting; no amendments were proposed at adoption. The council did not discuss specific permitted uses, conditions, or subsequent administrative steps during the adoption motion recorded at the meeting.
