The West Des Moines City Council approved a resolution accepting a site plan and associated legal documents for a new commercial building at 122 Fifth Street, submitted by Force Ave Properties LLC, with three conditions.
City staff described three conditions: the applicant must submit and receive approval for a minor modification if the proposal includes outdoor alcohol service; obtain city road-closure permits before any road closures needed for crane placement; and secure temporary construction easements from adjacent property owners before issuance of a building permit. The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution 5–0.
Council members praised the project’s conformity with recently developed design guidelines and thanked the committee members and staff who worked on them. Staff noted no outstanding issues beyond the listed conditions.
