During a public hearing the board opened comment on a bond ordinance appropriating $3,336,653 for various improvements at Camden County College and providing for the issuance of bonds or notes of the county to finance that appropriation. No members of the public offered comment during that hearing, and the board closed the public hearing and moved to adopt the ordinance by roll call.
The introductions were made by motion and adopted on roll call. The board scheduled the formal public hearings noted above and will proceed with required notice and adoption processes at the hearing date.
Background: Commissioners said the open-space financing supports the county's Open Space, Recreation, Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund referendum goals and will underwrite acquisition and improvements. The ordinance for Camden County College was presented as part of routine capital funding for the county's education facilities.
