The Northlake Town Council voted Feb. 13 to reauthorize its existing incentives policy — including tax-abatement guidelines — for two years, and approved several consent items and three right-of-way acquisitions after an executive session.
On the incentives policy, staff said the town’s existing incentives policy (adopted in 2014 with later updates) needed reauthorization because 2019 rules require guidelines be reauthorized or amended following a public hearing and remain effective for two years. Staff said the Economic Development Corporation and Community Development Corporation jointly recommended approval at their Jan. 16 meeting.
