The City of Fulton recognized Kyle Brimmer with a proclamation honoring his 21 years, eight months and 21 days of service, saying he began work for the city on 06/01/2004 and was promoted to Assistant City Engineer on 01/01/2010.
Council members and the mayor used the council meeting to thank Brimmer for long service and leadership. Councilman Henchy said, “I'd like to reiterate that we will very much miss Kyle and all the work he does for our city.” Councilwoman Nelson said she was “touched” by Brimmer’s devotion and that “it's hard to leave a job that you love.”
The proclamation read during the meeting summarized Brimmer’s tenure: his start date, promotion and contributions to infrastructure and development projects. Several council members recounted personal memories of Brimmer explaining technical subjects and mentoring elected officials. Councilman Stone said Brimmer’s “biggest legacy” is taking time to educate the council so members can help the city.
Mayor Myers and other members noted Brimmer had worked on recent grants and projects that will continue after his departure. The proclamation did not create any new council directive or funding; it was presented as an official expression of appreciation.
The council did not take a recorded vote on the proclamation; the item was presented as a formal recognition and the meeting moved on to routine business.
