Speedway Board approves routine minutes, agreements, contracts and personnel actions

The School Town Speedway Board of Trustees approved a set of routine business items and personnel actions during its June 10 meeting. All motions listed below passed unanimously unless otherwise noted.

Several routine items were presented as part of the meeting’s consent and action agenda. The WCJS amendment covers the district’s continued participation in a joint special-education cooperative that allows placement of students in partner facilities (the packet noted historical variability in placements; the district currently had no students at Sanders but has previously placed more students). The food service amendment is an annual state-required update to the district’s contract with Aramark; the board heard that adjusted fees were small and that the cafeteria supervisor has overseen operations.

On personnel, the board received one retirement notice (a science teacher and head track coach) and 10 resignations.
