A staff member said postage costs exceed printing costs and urged the board to approve the expense because of narrow May timing. “Because we only got couple weeks now in May, the sooner we get it out in the street, the better it should inform people of their process for grievance,” the presenter said.
Board members approved the authorization by voice vote. Staff said they have already received multiple inquiries from residents about assessment changes and that timely mailing helps reach residents before deadlines for grievance procedures.
