The DeWitt Town Board authorized several personnel actions: it approved hiring a candidate, Natalia Quinones Franco, to a recreation leader position (grade 7, step 4) on a part-time, effective-start basis; it appointed Alana as the planning board secretary; and it authorized posting for three Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) vacancies.
The recreation staff requested authorization to move a clerk position to a recreation leader role and to request the civil-service list; staff indicated payroll/finance clearance had been confirmed and recommended a provisional start date for the hire. The board motioned to authorize canvassing the civil-service list and to post the job; the board also approved hiring the candidate provisionally and the motion carried on voice votes.
Alana, who had been performing agendas and meeting duties, was appointed planning board secretary after the board agreed she had been active in the role and was ready to formalize the position.
Separately, the highway department requested authorization to post three MEO positions to fill two resignations and a retirement; the board approved posting the positions and encouraged referrals for candidates.
All motions were adopted by voice vote; the board recorded "Aye" and declared motions carried.
