A town staff member presented a resolution to continue DeWitt’s participation in the CNY Stormwater Coalition, which provides administrative support, public-education materials, mapping assistance and compliance services tied to the New York State MS4 stormwater general permit.
Staff said the town’s annual share is $3,600 and that membership spreads permit compliance costs among multiple municipalities; the staff presentation noted that a municipality that does not join would need to absorb compliance costs on its own.
Councilor Max moved and Sarah seconded the resolution; the board voted by voice and the motion carried.
Ending: The Town Board approved the $3,600 annual membership in the CNY Stormwater Coalition. Staff will continue to coordinate permit reporting and education outreach through the coalition.
