The Town Board approved modifications to the 2024 and 2025 budgets during the Jan. 16 meeting after the clerk read a list of line-item changes across departments.
Nicole Young, town clerk, read increases and decreases across multiple accounts. Major changes included increases to police personnel accounts (B3120.1100 increased by $229,564.14), dispatch personal services (B3020.1100 increased by $10,842.73), other police-related adjustments for health insurance and vehicle/gas, and a New York CLASS interest line increase of $85,000. The transcript records additional adjustments across tax collector, senior center, town board, court, assessor, buildings and grounds, animal control and supervisor’s office accounts; totals and individual line items were read into the record.
After the line items were read, the board moved to approve the modifications; the motion passed by voice vote.
