Commission approves hold-harmless agreement for High Rockies youth story hour at Fairplay library

County staff said the High Rockies program (the packet alternately lists the name as High Rock High School and as a homeschool enrichment class) runs a regularly scheduled story hour at the Fairplay library. Staff confirmed receipt of a signed hold-harmless agreement and a certificate of liability insurance and recommended the board approve the facility use.
Commissioners approved the hold-harmless agreement by voice vote, 3-0. County staff (Lucas) noted they would follow up to clarify whether the program is (a) a charter school or (b) a homeschool enrichment group and update the file accordingly.
The board's action allows the program to continue using the library for children's programming subject to the county's standard facility-use and insurance requirements.
