Park County gives clerk limited authority over temporary liquor approvals, ratifies one temporary modification

Park County commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to delegate authority for administrative approvals of certain temporary liquor license actions to the county clerk and to ratify a recent temporary premises modification for an event operator at Mountain View Ranch.
The clerk had asked for delegated authority to handle administrative, noncontroversial modifications that do not require a full Liquor Board hearing. The Board removed transfer-of-ownership authority from that delegation and retained it for the Board itself.
The resolution delegating administrative approvals (Resolution No. 2025-014) was adopted 3-0. Commissioners said the change is intended to speed routine processing for license holders while keeping major actions before the board.
In a separate vote the board ratified a temporary modification of premises submitted April 30, 2025 by Zegulf Food and Beverage Services LLC, d/b/a Wedgwood Weddings, to permit an event at Mountain View Ranch (a property near the Jefferson County line). The ratification was also unanimous, 3-0.
Staff said both actions were discussed in the board's work session and that the delegated authority will speed approvals for noncontroversial, temporary changes.
No public comment was offered on the liquor items at the meeting.
