"Sergeant Moore did a great job in getting it," Sheriff Armantrout said, thanking staff and noting the equipment will support deputies who routinely transport individuals in need.
The council also approved several personnel and representative appointments: reappointing Kim Repass and Abram Williams to serve on the Onward NRV board (with Repass on the executive committee) and appointing Wade Vannoy from the water department as the city's alternate representative to the Peppers Ferry Regional Wastewater Treatment Authority.
After completing these votes, council voted to convene a closed meeting under Virginia Code ' 2.2-3711(a)(1) to discuss prospective candidates and personnel matters and under 2.2-3711(a)(8) to consult with legal counsel on audit options.
