Board committee endorses two‑year ATI contract for nursing exam preparation; costs borne by program fees

The finance committee on May 14 endorsed a two‑year contract, effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027, between the School of Nursing and Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) for standardized test‑preparation materials and services.
University staff said the agreement covers books, videos, curriculum content and assessment offerings to support students preparing for nursing licensure exams. ATI was piloted during spring 2025 alongside an existing vendor to enhance student resources. Total program costs will not exceed $1.1 million over two years and will be charged as a program fee to nursing students; the university indicated there is no net negative cost to the university’s general fund.
Trustee Eric Wasowitz moved to endorse the item and Trustee Montel Gales seconded; the committee approved the recommendation and the item will be forwarded to the full board for approval on June 12, 2025.
