Chairperson Schramm, who reported the committee findings, said, “53% of the minimums are no longer in line with the external market and needed adjustment,” and described the committee’s recommendation to raise minimums and adjust ranges for most positions.
Why it matters: Council members and staff said the market adjustments are meant to improve recruitment and retention and bring many positions closer to local market averages.
