Warrensburg certifies April 8 election results; reelected councilors sworn in, Euler chosen mayor again

Jody, the city clerk, presented the Johnson County Election Authority’s certification showing Bruce D. Euler received 910 votes and Eddie Osborne 895 votes; both were re‑elected to three‑year council terms. The council moved to read the election ordinance by title only and then voted to adopt it.
Following the certification and recognition presentations, councilors administered the oath of office. The council then held internal elections: members unanimously elected Bruce D. Euler to another term as mayor and appointed Eddie Osborne chairperson pro tem.
Council members voted in the open session motions by roll call with unanimous yes votes recorded. The council presented certificates of recognition and coins honoring the members’ service; no policy action accompanied the ceremonial items beyond the required certification and officer elections.
