The Warrensburg City Council adopted an ordinance authorizing the mayor and city clerk to execute a temporary development agreement with the owners of 300 Grover Street related to the McGuire Street improvement project.
City staff described the agreement as a narrow, temporary construction easement limited to a corner of the property so that if the existing fence is damaged during construction the property owners may replace it and be reimbursed or assisted by the city. "The easement that we're [requesting] is just on this southeast corner... we don't feel like we're going to have any damage done to this fence, but just to reassure" the homeowners, staff said.
Council moved the ordinance to adoption and unanimously approved it on voice vote (Osborne: yes; Latari: yes; Jones: yes; Euler: yes). No financial amounts for potential replacement were discussed at the meeting; staff recommended approval.
The ordinance authorizes execution of the temporary agreement and directs staff to handle required notarial and administrative tasks to complete the easement documentation.
