Council members said the Route 66 project is funded in part by a $15,000 grant from the Missouri Division of Tourism and will place a 10-foot Route 66 sign near Buhler Park. Staff told the council the sign will sit in a right-of-way abandoned after the Kings Highway/Highway 70 extension and will include lighting and a short concrete path for visitor access.
