City staff to host June 25 open house and Planning Commission hearing on draft comprehensive plan

City planning staff on June 9 said they are reviewing the implementation portion of the draft comprehensive plan and will hold an open house on Wednesday, June 25 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at City Hall, followed by a Planning Commission public hearing at 6:30 p.m.
Planning staff said the open house will be an informal drop-in event where residents and stakeholders can review draft plan components on information boards, read the draft comprehensive plan document and provide comments using comment cards. The staff presentation noted the project team will be on hand to answer questions.
The open house and the Planning Commission hearing will be promoted in the Gazette, on the city website and on social media, staff said. Staff also said they are reviewing the implementation section and will provide comments in the coming days to finalize how the implementation chapter will read.
