On May 14, 2025, the Jefferson County Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of a package of regulation amendments affecting the Transportation Design and Construction Manual, portions of the county Zoning Resolution, the Land Development Regulation and the Storm Drainage Design and Technical Criteria. The Board of County Commissioners will hold the final hearing June 10, 2025.
The package updates technical standards, clarifies when and how applicants must submit transportation studies, and adjusts the county’s process for granting relief from certain access and circulation standards. Engineering Supervisor Lindsey Weier told the commission the changes were intended “to provide clarity and align county requirements with industry standards” and to carry forward into the unified land use code amendments now in process.
