Commissioners appoint Elizabeth Holland to Kitsap County Council for Human Rights

The Kitsap County Board of Commissioners on May 12 appointed Elizabeth Holland to the Council for Human Rights as a District 2 representative, for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027.
A commissioner moved to approve the appointment after staff summarized Holland's application and interview. Staff described Holland's background as vice president at a research-design organization for Boeing Employees Credit Union and noted her expertise in website accessibility guidelines and a master's degree in human factors and information design.
After the motion carried, Elizabeth Holland addressed the commission: "Thank you for the very warm welcome. I'm a new member of the Kitsap community. I've been here for about 6 years ... I'm very pleased and eager to help and work with the council members on the Human Rights Council and thank you again for the opportunity," she said.
The board recorded the motion as carried and welcomed Holland to the Council for Human Rights.
