Tollway committee backs $2.31 million in Cisco contracts with Presidio for licensing and switches

On May 15, 2025, the Toll Highway Authority Technology and Operations Committee voted to place two information-technology procurements with Presidio Network Solutions LLC on the authority's full-board agenda, covering a Cisco enterprise licensing agreement and Cisco Nexus switches totalling $2,310,010.05.

Chief Information Officer Mike Shea told directors the first recommended award would establish a master Cisco enterprise agreement to consolidate software subscriptions and improve license tracking across the Tollway network. The award recommendation is for contract 250062 in an amount not to exceed $2,039,997.80 for a five-year term.

Shea said the second recommended award would supply six Cisco Nexus 9300 platform switches and three years of maintenance to outfit the Tollway’s colocation data center and disaster-recovery center. That award is recommended under contract 250014 in an amount not to exceed $270,012.25.

Shea said the enterprise agreement “consolidates multiple software subscriptions into a single contract, reducing administrative overhead and improving visibility into use,” and that the Nexus switches were identified after staff prepared the new centers and found six additional units were required. Costs for both awards were reviewed by the information-technology department, Shea said.

The committee moved and seconded placement of both items on the May full-board agenda; both motions passed by voice vote with no recorded objections. No amendments or substantive debate were recorded during the committee discussion.

The items will appear on the Tollway board meeting agenda for final consideration.
