County Administrator Tina Morgan reported that paperwork for the closing of the Chamber Mountain tower property had been completed and that the county expected to receive the deed by mail. The county acquired the parcel — described in the meeting as a communications‑tower site with a tower that has been in place for approximately 35 years — for a total price the chairman described as "less than $20,000." The acquisition had been discussed in executive session earlier in the meeting; the chairman publicly stated the subject of that executive session was acquisition of the property.
Administrators said the deed should be in hand within one to two days. Commissioners did not take further action at the meeting beyond acknowledging receipt of the status update and completing associated administrative steps for closing.
