Dunkirk council approves routine event permits, refers a claim and votes to enter executive session

- Chautauqua Adult Day Services annual picnic: Request to use Brooks Pavilion and kitchen on Aug. 22, 2025; approved subject to usual conditions.
- Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s: Request to use Point Beach pavilions and surrounding neighborhood/bike path on Oct. 18, 2025; motion carried.
- NCCS / Nelson Hernandez one-day coed softball tournament at Framingham Stadium on June 7, 2025: approved subject to usual conditions.
- Loudspeaker permits: Joshua Tudone (Pointe Gratiot, Aug. 8, 2025) and Chautauqua Adult Day Services (Pointe Gratiot, Aug. 22, 2025) were referred/approved subject to departmental review.
Other council actions:
- Walk-in resolution approving amendments to the City of Dunkirk’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2021 and 2024 annual action plans was accepted onto the agenda and adopted by roll call.
- A notice of claim from Daniela Ortiz Jr. alleging vehicle damage from city property was referred to the law department and the department of public works for further handling.
