Wyoming school boards move toward Simbly; LCSD2 to evaluate options for board docs migration

Board Secretary Mrs. Kleeman and Superintendent Matt Erickson updated trustees on a change in recommended board-management software: the Wyoming School Boards Association is endorsing a platform called Simbly and is dissolving its relationship with BoardDocs. Kleeman said she will collect reference feedback from other secretaries and provide a recommendation to the board.
Kleeman reported that Simbly has the capability to migrate historical BoardDocs content and that other Wyoming districts have tested the platform with mixed reports. She said the district will evaluate references and prepare a proposal for trustees. "Julie from Wyoming School Board Association... made us aware that Wyoming School Board Association was endorsing this company called Simbly... they will transition all of our current BoardDocs information, historical data... to Simbly," Kleeman said.
Superintendent Erickson and board members discussed timing and training needs; trustees flagged the need for staff training and the workload of migrating policy and minutes during an active policy audit cycle. Kleeman estimated a decision would be needed by July 1; administrators said they would return with a recommendation and a training plan for the board and staff.
