Meade County Commission signs 2025 collective bargaining agreements

The Meade County Commission voted to approve signing the 2025 collective bargaining agreements after Human Resources reported the union had finalized the deals.
Deborah Bransard of Meade County Human Resources told the commission the 2025 collective bargaining agreements are finalized and need signing. She also said a separate consultant-fee agreement from Wellmark had been reviewed by the chief deputy state's attorney and is ready to sign, but that document was not on the meeting agenda and will be completed administratively.
A commissioner moved to authorize signing the collective bargaining agreements and another commissioner seconded the motion. Commissioners voted "aye" and the chair said the motion carries.
Human Resources said the county will complete electronic signatures as required and will transmit signed documents to the union the same day. Bransard also reported staffing items: one correctional officer position to be posted and a part‑time HR generalist starting the next day; three full‑time highway operator positions remain open.
