Subcommittee representatives reported on recent zoning and comprehensive plan work and scheduled follow-up meetings.
The zoning subcommittee met to review Articles 1, 2 and 3 of the zoning ordinance and discussed Article 8 on nonconformities; staff recommended sequencing changes to the article contents and the subcommittee agreed to continue detailed review. The subcommittee’s next meeting was scheduled for February 4, according to staff.
The comprehensive plan subcommittee said it invited the three town managers to a joint meeting to discuss coordination and alignment on growth tiers and zoning between Page County and the towns. The meeting was described as occurring “the day after tomorrow” at 6 p.m.; the subcommittee said the discussion aims to better align county and town growth‑tier definitions before the subcommittee revises the comprehensive plan language.
Subcommittee members said stakeholders and survey work will follow; work paused lightly over the holidays but will resume. The commission listed subcommittee progress in its annual report and said mapping and stakeholder outreach will inform further changes to the comp plan and zoning ordinance.
