The Page County Board of Supervisors approved three budget adjustments totaling $19,882 to cover department expenses and grant awards.
Mister Olsen told the board the GIS department received $3,000 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management enterprise GIS software grant; no local match was required. The animal shelter was awarded $7,500 from the Virginia Federation of Humane Societies Direct Relief Award for veterinary care, supplies and kennel improvements. Planning and Community Development requested appropriation of $9,382 in stormwater permit revenue to cover contractual inspection services; that revenue exceeded the department’s original estimate.
Staff recommended appropriating $16,882 of local funds plus $3,000 in state funds to cover the requests, which the board approved on a motion and second. The appropriation increases the general fund budget by $19,882.
