The LaVega Baseball and Softball Association (LVBSA) notified Bellmead staff it would not renew its Lions Park use agreement for 2025 and has vacated the facility, city Parks and Recreation staff told the board.
Corey, Parks and Recreation staff, said he received formal notice on Jan. 6, 2025, that LVBSA would not renew after staff provided a draft agreement on Nov. 15, 2024, and followed with discussions in December. Corey told the board LVBSA removed property, locks were replaced, and park staff began cleanup and winter overseeding to prepare fields for future use.
