Project details: Officials said the market building will be about 17,000 square feet and will be multifunctional for farmers-market use as well as civic and private events. The redevelopment will include a courtyard intended for year-round outdoor programming, restaurant pad sites and a boutique hotel on Second Street.
Timing and community use: Council members said construction will be finished toward the end of the summer with a ribbon-cutting expected in July. Raider said the space is meant to be family friendly and a year-round community gathering site.
