Resident urges immediate repair of recurring drainage problem at Hamill and Quarter; staff to follow up

“We've requested and requested and requested the city to do something about it… Get it fixed. Now I'm not asking. I'm demanding it fixed,” the resident said, describing visible buckling and standing water and saying the problem has persisted "since 1984" in some form.
Council members and staff acknowledged the complaint during the meeting. City staffer Mr. Dunning told the resident the site had been fenced and that staff would follow up directly to investigate and report back. Council members urged use of the city's LS Connect reporting tool or direct contact with Public Works when hazards are observed.
The public comment did not trigger a formal council motion; staff committed on the record to follow up with the resident and to review the stormwater/maintenance status of the location.
