Bordewellis said the council had held a public hearing, received comments from the planning board and county planning officials, and considered those comments during deliberations. “Tonight's resolution is to adopt the local law as drafted and introduced and held at the public hearing without any further changes,” he said.
Council members said the CMS designation fit the site and reflected discussions at prior workshops. Amber (surname not specified) moved the resolution; Molly seconded. The council adopted the local law by voice vote with no recorded no votes.
The resolution notes the city planner advised the council on the correct zoning and that the council considered planning‑board input. The action includes the CEQA negative declaration finding that the rezoning would not have a significant adverse environmental impact.
