All four change orders were approved by recorded roll call votes listed in the minutes; the resolutions each passed with a 6-0-1 tally (six yes, zero no, one absent).
A councilor who spoke during the item emphasized the Riverwalk’s recreational and economic value, calling the waterfront “our most valuable asset” and saying the completed project should help revive tourism and fishing activity. The councilor said completing the Riverwalk was especially meaningful in the speaker’s final year on the council.
