Keith County EMS leaders brief commissioners on call volume and workforce experience

Keith County EMS and volunteer fire departments briefed the Board of Commissioners on recent call activity, staff experience and staffing needs in a presentation timed to coincide with national observances.
Jordan Meimager gave a statistics overview: the service answered 29 calls so far in the current month with roughly 69 percent medical and about 14 percent trauma calls. Last month the county logged 85 calls, about 60 percent medical and 31 percent trauma, the presentation said. Meimager highlighted that roughly 82 percent of calls were treated on scene and/or transported and that there were no deaths reported in the recent period.
Meimager and chiefs recognized individual providers and summarized cumulative experience across paid and volunteer personnel. Meimager said the county currently has approximately 10 full-time staff, five part-time staff and three volunteers working in partnership with an area volunteer fire department; he summarized roughly 180 total years of EMS experience and about 64 years of advanced-life-support experience among current providers.
Commissioners thanked staff and volunteers and noted the service's operational demands and training needs; no board action was requested.
