Council approves kiosk vendor, bathhouse roof work and Google Workspace prepayment saving

Plattsburgh councilors on May 1 approved several non-transportation capital and operating items grouped on the consent agenda, including a kiosk operator at City Hall Place, a revision to a bathhouse capital project, and an IT payment strategy for Google Workspace that staff said will yield savings.
Item 7.113 authorized awarding the RFP for the City Hall Place kiosk to an operator that also runs a business in the food co-op; councilors asked whether the kiosk restrooms would be public and staff replied restrooms will exist but not be open for public use—they will serve the business operations. Councilors expressed enthusiasm for a new vendor occupying the previously vacant kiosk space.
Item 7.111 revised capital project H-5111.022024 for a bathhouse upgrade; councilors confirmed the change relates to roof work and staff said the bathhouse improvements are nearing completion, with cleanup and beach preparations under way.
On IT procurement (item 7.114) staff explained a corrected figure in the resolution: the $30,420 figure is an annual savings amount, not monthly. Staff said the saving is a combination of a one-time prepayment and removal of 15 unused licenses; council approved the change.
