Choctaw County commissioners approved a personnel transfer requested by the revenue commissioner that moves Megan Foster from the mapping and appraisal office to the tag office as the motor vehicle/title clerk, with no change in pay and with her salary funded from mapping and appraisal to the general fund as appropriate.
As a result of Foster's transfer, the mapping and appraisal office will have a vacancy for an appraisal assessment clerk. The commission authorized the revenue commissioner to advertise that vacancy; staff said they will return in June with a recommendation after the required 14-day advertisement.
The motions to approve the transfer and to advertise the mapping vacancy were moved, seconded and carried on voice votes.
