City staff described the trailer as a 19-foot unit with an onboard generator, freshwater holding tank, awning and air conditioning. Staff said the trailer can be used to support adoption events the animal services team already runs frequently and that the unit should simplify logistics and increase the visibility of off-site adoptions.
Council recessed for approximately 10 minutes to go outside and inspect the trailer; the meeting resumed after the short recess. No formal funding action was taken at the meeting, and staff indicated the trailer had been recently acquired and is ready for deployment to adoption events.
