Fairview council recesses into executive session, returns with no public action

A little past 4:30 on March 25, the Fairview Town Council recessed a special meeting into an executive session to consult with legal counsel and to discuss real property and economic development negotiations, then returned to public session with no actions taken and adjourned.

The meeting opened with the presiding officer calling the special meeting to order and offering the citizen-comments period; no members of the public addressed the council. The presiding officer then announced the council would move into an executive session "to consult with our legal counsel," to discuss the value, sale or acquisition of real property, and to deliberate economic development negotiations, and said, "So we are in executive session now."
