The presenter asked the council to include the program in the city newsletter and other outreach.
The presenter explained the role of rain barrels in managing runoff and described a brief on‑site demonstration planned for the pickup. Mayor Lisa Layland said staff could post program details on the city website.
The council did not take formal action on the program but agreed to let staff help publicize the distribution.
