Pipestone County personnel staff updated the board on staffing changes and recruitment: three positions are open and accepting applications, including an administrative support specialist for the extension office and a deputy treasurer position that the county is reposting after a recent resignation.
Personnel staff said Macy Holstein resigned in early May for a remote work opportunity. The county recently hired Scott Carrolls as a part-time jailer/dispatcher (start April 28) and has scheduled interviews on May 15 for two internal candidates for a full-time deputy sheriff position. Highway maintenance worker interviews are scheduled with eight candidates.
Staff encouraged previous applicants to reapply for reposted positions and said recruitment will remain open for a couple more weeks. No formal board action was required; the report provided situational awareness on county staffing and upcoming interview panels.
