The City of Kingston Laws and Rules Committee unanimously approved a resolution April 16 that adopts the 2025 standard workday for elected and appointed officials for reporting to the New York State and Local Retirement System.
Staff member Alissa described the item as routine housekeeping and said the city must collect a three-month calendar from participating elected officials each year so the state can calculate time credited toward the retirement system. "This is just housekeeping that I I'll have to hand this in within a certain amount of time," Alissa said.
A motion and second were recorded and the committee voted in favor; the resolution passed unanimously on a voice vote.
